Commercial Foods & Culinary Arts
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as restaurant cooks. The course content will include the following: Food Preparation and Serving; Selection and Presentation of a Wide Variety of Foods. The standard length of this program is 1200 hours. Certificates of Completion will be issued upon satisfactory completion of each Occupational Completion Point.
- Admission Policy: Students must be 16 years of age or older and not currently enrolled in another Miami-Dade County Public School. Students must score a minimum of 9.0 on the TABE.
